In the morning light
Birdie takes her first flight
The sky looks strange,
Smells so different
The trees were unfamiliar
Felt like everything has changed
But every day she wakes up
Among the tall trees, unknown leaves
Light so bright, briskly wind
Wondering how she'll outlive,
How she'll survive
She takes a deep breath
Wings spread wide
With her ruffled feathers
Far away from home
Into the new sky
Glides through the places,
Astute through every sight
Searching for her new place,
Making new friends
Building a nest that fits her own grace
As time passes by
She learns to thrive
Endeavoring valiantly
With a heart so strong
Opening her wings wide
Embracing the breezy blue sky
Leading her life
As a birdie that can really fly
